Description: The building faces north and is a one story red colored brick, concrete and glass structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds in the center of Hysham. The building has a projecting entrance section on the north side with glass walls and doorways. There is another entrance on the southwest side where a map of the county is outlined in brick on the west side wall. The building has a flat roof line. In the interior, the walls are brick. The County District Court courtroom is located at the northwest corner near the main entrance. The building contains the County District Court of the 16th Judicial District and the County Justice Court.

History: The county was created in 1919 and Hysham was selected as the county seat. The county used rented premises. The courthouse was constructed in 1959 to 1960.
