Description: The buildinng faces east and is a six story concrete and glass structure. The east front has a rounded tower in the center with glass panels and high dome. The center section rises higher than the north and south sections. There is a projecting cornice between the fourth and fifth stories.There are five story wings on the north and south. The roof line is flat. The building is named the Scott Matheson Courthouse and the Supreme Court is located in on the fifth floor. The building also houses the Appellate Court and the Law Library. The building houses the Salt Lake County Courthouse.
History: The Supreme Court once occupied a room on the third floor in the east wing of the Utash State Capitol which is now used for deromonal events. The Supremr Court moved to the Scott Matheson Courthouse in 1999.
