District Courthouse – Wrentham

Description: The building faces north and is a two story red colored brick and concrete structure. The building is located on spacious landscaped grounds. The north front has a central porch with three white colored columns rising on either side of the recessed entrance. The building has palladian style windows and the corners have trim. On the roof is a square open cupola, The roof is hipped with slate roofing. The interior has marble and wood finishing.
Note: The cost of construction was $250,000. There was a delay in completing construction due to lack of funds. The courthouse was the first permanent building to house the court in Wrentham as previous locations had been rented for use of the court since 1861.
