Description: The building faces east and is a one story adobe brick and log structure. The building is located in the center of San Elizario. The rectangular shaped building has wood doors and cottonwood logs extending from the upper section. The roof line is flat. The building served as the county jail from 1850 to 1866 and from 1868 to 1873. The courtroom was also located here. The building is now a museum.
