Flagler County is named for Henry Morrison Flagler, who was a railroad magnate and developer of east coast of Florida.

Description: The building faces west and is a two story red colored brick and concrete structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds in the center of Bunnell. . The north front has four large white colored columns rising from the first story to the top of the second story with a wide header above. There are white colored vertical panels between the windows. The roof line is flat. The building is now the First Baptist Church Academy.

 

County Justice Center – Bunnell

Description: The building faces north and is a four story concrete and glass structure. The rectangular shaped building is located on spacious landscaped grounds to the northeast of the center of Bunnell. The west wing which extends north. The north front has a projecting one story center section with entrance on the first story. The windows along the front are wide and vertical. The roof line is flat. In the interior the four large courtrooms are located on the fourth story. There is also a small courtroom. The building houses the Circuit Court of the 7th Judicial Circuit and County Court. The building is named as the Kim C Hammond Justice Center.

History:  The county was created in 1917 and Bunnell was selected as the county seat. The first courthouse was constructed in 1924 to 1926. The second and present courthouse was constructed in 2005 to 2007.

Description: The building faces north and is a three story cream colored concrete structure. The building is located on spacious landscaped grounds to the northeast of the center of Bunnell on the east side of the courthouse. The north front has a large circular section with entrance on the first story, large interior atrium and wide green colored dome. The east and west ends of the building project from the main building. The green colored roof is hipped. The building is named as the Government Services Building. 

 

Note:  The cost of construction was $25,000,000. The engineer during construction was Cape Design Engineering Company.
