Description: The building faces west and is a two story concrete structure. The building is located in the center of Daytona Beach. On the west side is a large open portico. The exterior of the building was constructed of coquina and bits of sea shells which can be seen in the walls. The windows are recessed. In the interior is the courtroom. The building houses the Court of Appeal, Fifth District. The building was enlarged from 2000 to 2001. The architect was Dickens & Associates and the contractor was J A Jones Construction Company, Inc.
Note: The court was previously located in the Army Reserve Building. The cost of construction of the present building was $5,300,000.
