Hinsdale County is named for George A Hinsdale, who was a prominent pioneer and former Lieutenant Governor of Colorado.

Description: The building faces east and is a two story white colored wood frame structure. The east front has a central entrance with small window above. The courtroom is on the second story. The roof is sloped. An addition was built on the south side.
