Peace River is named for Peace River Crossing known as Riviere-la-Paix and after the Peace River.

Description: The building faces south and is a two story red coloured brick and concrete structure. The rectangular shaped building is located in the centre of Peace River. On the south side is the modern addition constructed in 1979. The addition is a three story red coloured brick and concrete structure. The entrance is along the west side in the projecting one story section. The roof land is flat. The building houses the Court of Queen’s Bench and the Provincial Court. The architect for the 1979 addition was was John A Macdonald Architect Ltd.
